The TSA is introducing a revolutionary new luggage scanner to BWI Airport. This new technology with provide a 360 degree view of luggage, making for a safer travel when going through the airport. Screeners will have the ability to zoom in and rotate the bag, providing a 3D view.
In addition to BWI Airport, the TSA is hoping to implement 15 new scanners in different airports across the country by the end of 2018, and 240 in 2019. This new technology is going in the direction of not having to unpack carry-ons when travelers go through security.
